The first Linux version of this program started popping up in 2001 (FindItNIX it was called at that time) which was also based on the Qt libraries. It was actually the second or third thing I did in Qt.

Somewhere in 2003 a re-write was attempted but never really got off the ground. Meanwhile, as time passed by, the Qt libraries developed and slowly FindItNIX was getting source- and binary incompatible.

Now, in 2004, I picked up all the bits and pieces of code lying around to create a new version, under a new name, QFindIt. Also, as the previous page was pretty messy, this new site was built.
